About Knox Notary Co.

Trusted Knoxville & Nationwide Notary Services

Meet William Croce with Knox Notary Co.

Hi, I’m William O. Croce, founder of Knox Notary Co.

I am a commissioned Tennessee Notary Public, Remote Online Notary and NNA Certified Loan Signing Agent based in Knoxville. I provide mobile notary service throughout Knoxville and surrounding East Tennessee communities, along with Remote Online Notarization for eligible signers located across the United States and abroad.

My goal is straightforward: make the notarization process clear, convenient and dependable while treating every signer and document with the attention they deserve.

I know that notarization often comes at important moments — buying a home, setting up a business, planning for the future, or preparing family paperwork. My job is to make sure the process is clear, convenient, and handled correctly the first time

More Than 20 Years of Notary and Closing Experience

I have worked in real estate, mortgage lending, title services, loan signings and document quality assurance for more than 20 years.

I first became a commissioned notary in 2005 and previously held notary commissions in California, Texas and Oregon before becoming commissioned in Tennessee in 2021.

Over the course of my career, I have worked with thousands of documents and signing transactions involving:

  • Real estate purchases and sales

  • Mortgage refinances

  • Home-equity loans and HELOCs

  • Seller documents

  • Powers of attorney

  • Affidavits and sworn statements

  • Estate-planning documents

  • Business documents

  • Remote Online Notarization

  • Digital-closing and electronic-signing platforms

  • Post-signing document review and quality control

That experience has taught me that notarization is not simply about placing a seal on a document. It requires careful identification, attention to detail, clear communication and respect for the importance of the transaction.

Professional Loan Signing Experience

I am an NNA Certified Loan Signing Agent with extensive experience handling real estate and mortgage documents.

Loan-signing services may include:

  • Purchase packages

  • Refinance packages

  • Seller documents

  • Home-equity loans

  • HELOCs

  • Loan modifications

  • Deeds

  • Owner and seller affidavits

  • Printing

  • Scanbacks

  • Document shipping

  • Completion confirmation

My background in mortgage, title and document quality control helps me understand the importance of accurate signatures, dates, initials, notarizations and document return requirements.

I do not explain loan terms or provide legal advice, but I can professionally guide signers through the execution of the documents as directed by the lender, title company or settlement provider.

When you need a notary to come to you, I offer mobile notary service anywhere it’s convenient — homes, offices, hospitals, nursing homes, or correctional facilities. Here’s what you can expect:

  1. Set a Time – I offer same-day, evening, and weekend appointments to fit your schedule.

  2. Show ID – A valid driver’s license, passport, or government-issued ID is required.

  3. We Review Together – I’ll make sure the document is complete and ready to sign.

  4. Sign & Seal – You sign in front of me, I apply my notary seal, and the job is done.

  5. Take It With You – You leave the appointment with your completed, notarized document in hand.

I cover Knoxville, Farragut, Maryville, Oak Ridge, Sevierville, Powell, and all surrounding counties — Knox, Blount, Loudon, Sevier, Anderson, and Union.

Remote Online Notarization (RON) – In the U.S. or Abroad

The Tennessee online notary must be physically located in Tennessee during the notarization, but the signer may generally participate from another state or from outside the United States.

RON can be helpful for:

  • Out-of-state signers

  • International signers

  • Military families

  • Travelers

  • Homebound individuals

  • Businesses with signers in different locations

  • People who cannot easily attend an in-person appointment

Online eligibility depends on the document, receiving-party requirements, available technology, identification and the signer’s ability to complete the platform’s identity-verification process.

How the RON Process works:

If meeting in person isn’t possible, I also handle notarizations online. The process is fast, secure, and recognized under Tennessee law:

  1. Upload Your Document – Send it securely through the platform.

  2. Verify Your Identity – You’ll complete an online ID check and quick knowledge-based questions.

  3. Video Call – We meet live on camera while you sign your document.

  4. Seal Applied – I notarize electronically through an authorized platform.

  5. Instant Delivery – You receive a notarized PDF right away, ready to send where it needs to go.

This option works well for out-of-state clients, international signers, military families, and anyone who needs something done without delay.

Why I Started Knox Notary Co.

I started Knox Notary Co. to provide the kind of notary service I would want for my own family, customers and business partners.

Many people need a notary during an important or time-sensitive situation. They may be:

  • Buying or selling a home

  • Helping a family member complete a power of attorney

  • Visiting someone in a hospital or nursing home

  • Preparing a travel consent form

  • Handling an estate matter

  • Signing documents from another state or country

  • Trying to meet a lender, court or business deadline

Those situations can already feel complicated. Finding a dependable notary should not make them more difficult.

Knox Notary Co. combines professional experience with direct, personal service. When you contact the business, you communicate directly with me rather than being routed through a national call center or anonymous scheduling service.

My Approach

Every appointment is different, but my approach remains consistent. I know that notarization often comes at important moments — buying a home, setting up a business, planning for the future, or preparing family paperwork. My job is to make sure the process is clear, convenient, and handled correctly the first time

Clear Communication

I explain what information is needed before the appointment so signers can prepare their identification, documents and witnesses.

Careful Document Handling

I pay close attention to the notarial certificate, signer information and execution requirements while protecting the confidentiality of the documents.

Respect for the Signer

I communicate directly with the signer and make sure the signer is participating willingly and understands that a notarization is taking place.

Reliable Follow-Through

When an appointment includes printing, scanbacks, shipping or completion confirmation, I follow the instructions provided by the hiring company or receiving party.

Professional Boundaries

I can explain the notarization process and the difference between common notarial acts. I cannot provide legal advice, prepare legal documents or choose a notarial act for a signer.
