1.Request an Appointment
When you contact me, please provide:
The appointment address
Preferred date and time
Type of document
Number of signers
Number of documents
Witness requirements
Any deadline or special circumstances
I may ask you to send a clear photograph or electronic copy of the document before the appointment so I can review the notarial sections and confirm the appointment requirements in advance.
2. Confirm the Requirements
Before the appointment, we’ll confirm:
Which signatures require notarization
Whether witnesses are required
Who will provide the witnesses
Whether the receiving party requires an original document
Whether the document contains notarial wording
Whether any special signing instructions apply
I can explain the difference between common notarial acts, but I cannot choose a notarial act for you or provide legal advice.
3. Prepare Your Document and Identification
Have the complete document and acceptable identification ready for the appointment.
Complete any factual information you are responsible for, but do not sign the document in advance unless you know that signing beforehand is permitted. If you are unsure, wait to sign until we are together.
4. Meet With Me at Your Confirmed Location
At the scheduled time, I’ll meet you at the confirmed location, whether that’s your home, office, hospital, business or another agreed-upon location.
Each signer must personally appear before me for the notarization.
During the appointment, I will:
Review each signer’s identification
Communicate directly with each signer
Confirm that each signer is participating willingly
Witness the signature or receive the required acknowledgment
Administer an oath or affirmation when required
Complete the notarial certificate
Apply my official notary signature and seal
5. Receive Your Completed Document
